Green & Wood – Devil’s Plan
Black Vinyl – OG PRESS
We are pleased to be able to offer up dead stock of this amazing underground classic to you! The band reached out and wanted help selling this album and we jumped at the opportunity take advantage because once these are gone… they are GONE!
Green & Wood were a Los Angeles-based stoner doom/psychedelic rock band known for their heavy, riff-driven sound rooted in the city’s underground scene. Formed in the late 2000s, they debuted with a self-titled album on Cyclopean Records in 2009 before evolving their style on later releases. Devil’s Plan, their highly regarded second album, showcases the band’s mastery of slow-burning, atmospheric doom with psychedelic edges and old-school riff worship. Though not widely circulated at the time of initial release via Bandcamp and vinyl pressings, it is now available for the first time in 16 years via RidingEasy Records. The album features 10 tracks including “Siren,” “Spurs of Ida,” “Pillars of Creation,” “Sages and Fools,” and “Creeping Veil,” clocking in around 40 minutes of dense, immersive heaviness.
The album dives deep into stoner rock’s fuzzy grooves and psychedelic haze, earning praise for its “purest old school doomy riffs” that evoke classic influences while carving a gritty LA vibe. Critics and fans on sites like Fast ‘n’ Bulbous rated it highly among top rock releases, highlighting its banquet-like sprawl of Jupiter-sized jams. Though now split-up, Green & Wood left a mark on the West Coast doom scene, with Devil’s Plan remaining a cult favorite available on vinyl and streaming—perfect for fans of Kyuss or Sleep seeking that sun-baked California crush.
